Vicki L. Yost
E-RYT 500 (Yoga Alliance Registered - Experienced at the 500 hr Level)
NASM CES (Corrective Exercise Specialist)
Vicki was introduced to yoga after giving birth to her 3rd child at the age of 23, in 1981. Realizing the child she still was, she saw the need to find herself in the midst of her many responsibilities: Mother, Wife, and true partners in a Farming and Trucking Business with her husband Date. She still drives part-time for FedEx National LTL as a single driver of Double and Triple Trailers. She has enjoyed the wonderful gift of being able to see this country through the different seasons and taking in the sights only Nature can create. She has been married since 1975, has 4 children, and 11 grandchildren. Throughout these life experiences Vicki has been studying yoga and mind/body/spirit topics. Through her study and practice of Yoga, she has recognized the amazing gift of being part of nature recreating itself, and the true joys of life.
Vicki has been teaching professionally since 2001. She has fully enjoyed every aspect of the process it took to become a teacher, and now loves sharing the gifts Yoga has brought into her life. She has a deep respect and gratitude for all the teachers that came before her and who have helped her on her yogic journey. Many of them she has not known personally, but who were and are very much a part of her growth. She teaches with a strong influence of the Ashtanga Yoga Style, with an emphasis on the Yoga philosophies and traditions.
Vicki is presently teaching “The Yoga Teacher Training at the University of Utah” as well as other yoga classes at the 'U'. She also takes classes into Corporate settings, and provides Private and Semi-Private classes. You can follow my class blog info at: youryoga.blogspot.com
